Dave Farthing and David Godsell met while working at YOUCAN, a unique charity that Dave Farthing co-founded in 1996. While Dave Farthing has continued to hone his Coaching, Consulting and Facilitation service, David Godsell has emerged as a leader in the field of Finance.
Veriloquent opened its doors in 2017. Since then, they've begun working with fantastic clients eager for positive and successful growth and change.
Veriloquent is an English word meaning 'truth'. When it comes to coaching, consulting and facilitation services - as they say, the ‘truth’ will ‘set us free’.

Dave Farthing
Dave Farthing is a well-known and established executive coach, facilitator and leader in the field of restorative justice. Currently supporting the Restorative Engagement program’s launch with the Canadian Department of National Defence, Dave also teaches Community Engagement through Restorative Justice at Simon Fraser Univeristy (https://www.sfu.ca/continuing-studies/courses/crj/community-development-through-restorative-justice.html)
After founding and leading YOUCAN as CEO from 1996-2015, Dave completed a one year service with the United Nations Habitat Somalia Programme (UN Habitat, based out of Nairobi, Kenya). The project created phase 1 of a One Stop Centre with lifeskills programming in Mogadishu, Somalia.
Dave has supported projects with many government departments and charitable organizations.

David Godsell
David Godsell received his Ph.D. in management from Queen’s University. He has a master’s degree in management from Queen’s University,an MBA and two bachelor’s degrees, in commerce and in economics, from Memorial University. He also holds the designations of Certified Management Accountant (CMA) and Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA).
His dissertation examined the market valuation of managed earnings in a regulatory setting with learning opportunities. His research interests are in international financial accounting, earnings quality, and regulatory incentives.
David has taught financial accounting at Virginia Tech University and currently teaches Financial Business at Illinois University.
Godsell’s professional experience includes working as a corporate tax auditor for the Canada Revenue Agency.
He received several Ph.D.-level awards, including a Doctoral Fellowship from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada, a CPA-Queen’s Centre for Governance Grant, and a CMA Canada Doctoral Award.
